Times are a changing

'30 NOV 2011'

Times are a changing in this Leavin'Train.. Since our drummer Jerry is getting more busy with his new job, there is less time for the band. Jerry will definately stick around, and our good friend Danny Ummels will join the Leavin'Train soon. More exiting news is that we are currently rehersing with Bart Maessen, solo guitarist, and if it all works out good than you'll be seeing us all together on stage very soon again!!

About Me

Howdy folks..

My name is Calien Eurlings, a singer/songwriter from the south. I was born in Heerlen on April 28 1992. Yep, that's 19 years ago. I was raised in my hometown Kerkrade, together with my three brothers. When I turned 14 I bought my first electric guitar, a dark red Cort. I shared a dream with my good friend Elli, and that was to rock the world and stand on the big stage. We started a band and played some gigs at the local places. 5 Years passed, musicians came and went, band names changed, my hair's been orange/green and red, style developed and desire grew like a young tree in my soul. After 'Sound of a secret' and 'Rising Tuesday' there's now 'Leavin'Train', in which I play together with my good friends Sven Krummer(Bass) and Jeremiah Martens(Drums).

Since 2008 I started writing and singing songs. With the years these songs developed in style, sound and lyrics. One of the most inspiring people in my life is 'the boss' himself. Mister Bruce Springsteen. I live and breathe through his music, and sometimes it feels like he directs me in the roads I walk. I learn from his words and look up to him as a musician and artist. His music definitely has influence on mine, but everybody has their own sound and image, just like me. My music is pure and honest. There's nothing I don't write about, simply everything that happens to me and around me, will end up on a white blank page. I've been inspired by my trip to the U.S.A, and all the people I met there. There's so much I've learned and saw. I still write about those days jamming out in the streets of New York, with street musicians down the boardwalk of Asbury park NJ.

Since roughly a year I've been promoting myself solo acoustic. Just me and my guitar. Because it's a lot easier to just pack your guitar and play, I want to be independent and show a different side of my songs. With my band Leavin'Train there's more power, but solo there's more soul (simply because I have to work for three... haha)

Leavin' Train

Leavin'Train is a band that breaths through friendship and the joy to play. Jerry joined the band in November 2010, while Sven and me stick together from the former band 'Rising Tuesday'. Leavin'Train is a world of difference compared to the other projects I've been involved in. We create our own party anywhere we play. It's a mixture of Rock, pop, country, and lot's more. You can't put a single stamp on our music.

I'm very much looking foward to this gig!. I'm playing acoustic and have support with me. Forget the boring wednesday evening, and come out to see me! Cyall!
